How We Take Care of Your Data 🔒
Last updated: April 2026
Quick Version ⚡
We store the recipient's name you enter for up to 30 days so the card link keeps working. We use basic analytics to keep the site running well. We don't collect your personal details, email, or payment info. That's pretty much it.
📋 What We Collect
DailyCard is intentionally light on data collection. Here is what we work with:
- • Recipient names — when you add a recipient name to a card, that name is saved to our database so the shared card link continues to display correctly. It is stored for 30 days and then automatically deleted.
- • Card messages — the message you write is used to display your card. It is not linked to any account or personal identity.
- • Usage data — pages visited, time on site, device type. Collected anonymously through analytics.
- • Cookies — small files that help the site remember preferences and measure traffic.
🎯 How We Use It
The data we collect is used to:
- • Keep the site running and fix bugs
- • Understand which cards people love most
- • Improve the mobile experience over time
- • Ensure the platform is not being misused
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Full stop.
🛡️ How We Protect It
We use industry-standard security practices to protect any data that passes through this platform. All traffic runs over HTTPS. Analytics data is anonymised before storage.
The only personally identifiable data we store is the recipient name, which is kept for 30 days and then automatically purged. We keep the data footprint as small as possible by design — that's a feature, not an oversight.
🗓️ How Long We Keep It
- • Recipient names — stored in our database for exactly 30 days from the date the card was created, then permanently deleted. No exceptions, no extensions.
- • Anonymous analytics data — retained for up to 12 months to help us spot trends and improve the experience.
We don't hold onto things we don't need. When the time is up, it's gone.
🌍 Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party tools like analytics providers to help us understand site performance. These services have their own privacy policies and are selected for their respect for user data.
🔄 Updates to This Policy
If our privacy practices change, we'll update this page and the date above. We'll always aim to collect less, not more.
Your data is safe with us. Pinky promise. 🤙
